CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging Center GETS THE MARTEL MAKEOVER
Martel is proud to support a re-branding campaign of one of the most important biomedical imaging partnerships, not just in the region, but in the world.
The Center for Biomedical Imaging (CIBM) with headquarters located at the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL) is a major research and teaching initiative of the partners: the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the Université de Lausanne (UNIL), Université de Genève (UNIGE), the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève (HUG) and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV).
In preparation of the Center’s 15th year anniversary in October, 2019, Martel worked with CIBM’s Executive Director, Dr. Pina Marziliano, to give the CIBM brand a fresh look.
The calling card of any organization – the logo – was the starting point for the re-branding exercise. The existing logo featured the ‘Lemanic Arc’, the geographical area where all partners are located. Martel took the familiar feature of Lake Geneva, kept the arc – and using the inspiration of CIBM’s MRI scanning machines, transformed the crescent ‘C’ for CIBM into five independent segments, representing the five partners.
The revised logo was greatly appreciated as it reflects the dynamic partnership of the five institutions as well as the precision and excellence of the work that they perform.
Dr Pina Marziliano said of the marketing collaboration with Martel, “The CIBM website has a modern feel and is representative of our technological innovations. Thanks to Martel for helping us highlight the excellent work being done by our partners, as our center comes of age”.
Martel worked with CIBM to ensure the rest of the re-branding exercise remained true to the nature of an organization which had done ground breaking work over the last decade and a half, and is positioned to be a global player for the years ahead, to stimulate new collaborations that benefit medical science.
